HerCommunity C.I.C. supports girls and young women aged 11–25 through community-based wellbeing, empowerment and preparation-for-adulthood programmes.
Who We Are
Our story, vision and mission
HerCommnity C.I.C. was created from a belief that every woman and girl deserves access to support that helps her feel understood, empowered, and able to thrive.
Over the past 14+ years, I have had the privilege of working alongside children, young people, women, and families — supporting people through moments of uncertainty, change, adversity, and growth. Throughout my career, I have seen the same thing again and again: when people feel heard, understood, and supported, meaningful change becomes possible.
My professional experience has included working with children and young people, as well as supporting women experiencing some of the most complex challenges, including domestic abuse and homelessness. These experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of creating safe, compassionate spaces where people can rebuild confidence, reconnect with themselves, and recognise their own strengths.
HerCommunity C.I.C. brings together psychological knowledge and real-world understanding.
Drawing on psychological approaches my work focuses on helping women and girls understand themselves, build emotional resilience, develop healthier relationships, and create positive change.
As a Chartered Psychology member (Master's in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing) of the British Psychological Society, I am committed to using evidence-informed approaches while keeping support accessible, practical, and human.
Why HerCommunity?
Because wellbeing is more than just “getting through the day”. Many women carry invisible responsibilities — supporting others, managing expectations, navigating relationships, healing from past experiences, and trying to find space for themselves.
Girls are also growing up in a world where confidence, identity, and emotional wellbeing can be challenged from an early age.
HerCommunity exists to create a space where women and girls can:
-
understand themselves better
-
build confidence and self-worth
-
strengthen their emotional wellbeing
-
develop healthy boundaries
-
explore their experiences and stories
-
feel connected and supported
We believe that support should not only be available when things reach crisis point. Prevention, education, connection, and early support can change lives.
Our Mission: Helping girls and young women feel heard, empowered and able to rebuild positive futures through early intervention, prevention and community-based wellbeing support.
Our Vision: A world where every girl and young woman feels valued, connected and equipped to thrive
HerCommunity is here to act as a bridge between crisis point and clinical intervention.
